COVID UPDATE FOR MONTENEGRO FEBRUARY 2022

SITUATION IN MONTENEGRO: COVID-19

18th of February  2022.  - 3rd of March 2022.

 

ENTRY AND BORDERS

 

Montenegrin citizens and foreigners, with one piece of evidence from the EU digital COVID certificate, as follows:

  • Confirmation that they have been vaccinated with the prescribed number of doses of vaccine against the new coronavirus before entering Montenegro, issued by an authorized health institution, and that no more than six months have passed since receiving the last dose of vaccine;
  • Positive result of the PCR test for new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), issued by a registered laboratory and older than ten days, and not older than six months from the date of issue of the results of this test;

 

In addition to the evidence from the EU digital COVID certificate, in order to enter Montenegro, they must also have:

  • Negative result of PCR test for new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), issued by a registered laboratory and not older than 72 hours; or
  • Negative result of a rapid antigenic test for new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), which was issued by a registered laboratory and is not older than 48 hours.

 

Montenegrin citizens and foreigners who do not have this evidence can enter Montenegro, with a ten-day quarantine or self-isolation measure.

Self-isolation can be terminated after three days of quarantine, ie self-isolation, with a negative result of PCR test for new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), issued by a registered laboratory.

The obligation to have this evidence does not apply to persons under the age of 18.

 

PUBLIC SPACES AND SERVICES

Be sure to wear the mask properly indoors.
It is obligatory to wear the mask properly in an open space when it is not possible to maintain a physical distance of at least 2 m.
It is obligatory to keep physical distance outdoors and indoors.

Mass / social gatherings (festivals, etc.) can be held with one of the following pieces of evidence:

  • That the person has been fully vaccinated with the prescribed number of doses of vaccine against the new coronavirus, issued by an authorized health institution and that no more than six months have passed since receiving the last dose of vaccine;
  • Negative PCR test for SARSCov-2 not older than 72h;
  • Evidence that the person has survived COVID-19 (not less than 10 days and not more than six months have passed since a positive PCR or rapid antigen test);
  • Negative antigen rapid test not older than 48h.
 

 

RESTAURANTS

Restaurants work until 10pm. Disinfectants are available on every entrance as well as on every table. The distance between outdoor tables is 2m. Tables are completely disinfected after each use. Guests are obligated to wear protective masks all the time in restaurants, except during consuming food or beverages. 

 

 

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Public transport (road and maritime traffic) is performed with the implementation of prevention measures - wearing protective masks, hand disinfection on entrance / exit, without the possibility of passengers standing in the vehicle / vessel.

Taxi: The carrier is obliged to ensure that passengers and the driver wear protective masks. The driver is obligated to disinfect the vehicle after each taxi drive - door handles, the door, seats…).

 

CULTURE

It is allowed to visit cinemas, theaters, museums, and galleries wearing masks, disinfecting hands on entering / exit, and maintaining social distance (at least 2m).

Cinemas keep 2 empty seats between customers/groups from each side.
