COVID UPDATE FOR MONTENEGRO JULY 2021

SITUATION IN MONTENEGRO: COVID-19

ENTRY AND BORDERS

Montenegrin citizens and foreigners from the Republic of Serbia, the Republic of Kosovo, the Republic of Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Albania, North Macedonia can enter Montenegro without having a new coronavirus test (SARS- CoV-2) or proof that they are at least seven days before entering Montenegro vaccinated with a second dose of vaccine against the new coronavirus.

Montenegrin citizens and foreigners, except the countries listed above, are allowed to enter Montenegro with:

  • A negative PCR test not older than 72 hours;
  • With a  negative result of a rapid antigen test  issued by registered laboratories and not older than 48h;
  • With evidence that at least 14 days before entering Montenegro they are vaccinated with a second dose of vaccine against the new coronavirus, which is issued by authorized medical institutions.

 

If the Montenegrin Citizens and foreigners, except Countries list above who have temporary or permanent residence Permits don't have a negative PCR test, they are assigned isolation for 14 days.

The obligation to take the test does not apply to children up to the age of five.

 

PUBLIC SPACES AND SERVICES

Wearing a mask in indoor areas is obligatory. Mouth and nose must be covered. Social distance is 2m, except for the people from the same household. In public areas, there could not be more than 4 adults in a group (on the squares, sidewalks, streets, beaches, etc.), except for the members of the same household. 

It is not obligatory to wear a mask in an open space when it is not possible to maintain a physical distance of at least 2 m.

Mass gatherings (weddings, funerals, sport, political, and art & culture happenings) with more than 100 people are forbidden.

Home visits are prohibited.

 

 

RESTAURANTS

There are no restrictions related to working hours. Disinfectants are available on every entrance as well as on every table. The distance between outdoor tables is 2m. Tables are completely disinfected after each use. Guests are obligated to wear protective masks all the time in restaurants, except during consuming food or beverages. 

Live music is allowed from 8 pm to 12 pm in outdoor areas.

Festivals, nightclubs, and parties are temporarily forbidden.

 

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Public transport (road and maritime traffic) is performed with the implementation of prevention measures - wearing protective masks, hand disinfection on entrance / exit, without the possibility of passengers standing in the vehicle / vessel.

Taxi: The carrier is obliged to ensure that passengers and the driver wear protective masks. The driver is obligated to disinfect the vehicle after each taxi drive - door handles, the door, seats…).

 

CULTURE

It is allowed to visit cinemas, theaters, museums, and galleries wearing masks, disinfecting hands on entering / exit, and maintaining social distance (at least 2m).

Cinemas keep 2 empty seats between customers/groups from each side.

 

SPORT

It is allowed to organized entertainment, sports, and recreational activities for children and adults in open public places (amusement park, carousel, group training, etc.), with the presence of up to 100 people, as well as in smaller indoor sport facilities for smaller groups.

Group bikers are obligated to wear masks unless they live in the same household.
